The synagogues, Jewish day schools and other facilities were converted into volunteer centers to house hundreds of refugees, whose families fled the shelling in Mariupol, Severodonetsk, Izyum, Kharkiv, Bucha and other cities. Among them are many children, women, the elderly and people with limited mobility.
